About Trujillo Alto
Trujillo Alto is called "The City in the Sky" because it sits on the first hills rising east of San Juan. The elevation difference isn't huge — 100, 200 meters — but enough for cooler air, broader views, and life a bit more distant from metro chaos.
The Carraízo Reservoir (also called Lago La Plata) is one of the most beautiful reservoirs in the metro area, surrounded by green hills. San Patricio Forest, an urban reserve, offers short trails inside the city. It's one of the metro's most residential pueblos — not a classic tourist destination, but a perfect day escape for anyone living in San Juan who wants a different rhythm.

MemoryI grew up in Trujillo Alto. Lived on a hill where I could see San Juan's lights at night. Being in the city without being in it. I still hold onto that image.
