About Juncos
Juncos sits in eastern Puerto Rico, in a valley between mountains, south of Caguas. For centuries it was an agricultural town — sugar, tobacco, plantain. In recent decades it became home to multinational pharmaceutical plants employing thousands of Puerto Ricans. The contrast is part of the town's character: laboratories next to farms, colonial plaza next to modern industrial zones. It has a baseball tradition — Yldefonso Solá Morales stadium hosted pro ball — and local festivals that keep the agricultural identity alive.
